Direct Excision Neck Lift

Unlike a standard lower face and neck lift, which has incisions around the ears, the direct excision removes skin by cutting it out directly from the neck, thus avoiding the scars around the ears, which are hard to conceal in men. It does not improve the jowls and lower face.
The typical patient says, “I just want to get rid of this turkey gobbler” or “waddle.” It is simpler than scars around the ears and has less potential complications, although it does leave a visible scar on the neck. Because it is in a relatively hidden area and is not commonly associated with cosmetic surgery thus far, not one patient has been uncomfortable with the scar. The recovery period is shorter than a lower face and neck lift as well.
