The Procedure

It is generally performed as an outpatient procedure and can be performed with techniques that infuse targeted fat cells with a solution to reduce post-operative bruising and swelling.

After the solution has been administered, a tiny targeted incision will be made for the cannula to pass through. The stubborn facial fat will be loosened with the cannula and then removed with medical suction.

Finally, the treatment area will be cleaned. The procedure will usually last half an hour, depending on the number of treatment areas.

Recovery Process

The patient can go home right after the procedure. Specific instructions will be given for the recovery process. Temporary swelling, soreness, and a burning sensation may be experienced during the recovery period.

Certain physical activities will not be allowed until Dr. Olding gives his clearance. Patients usually return to work in one to two weeks, and back to strenuous activity within a month. Results are permanent.
