Dysport® injections (abobotulinumtoxinA) are used to treat facial wrinkles and neck bands caused by specific muscle groups. They relax muscles across the forehead or around the eyes or mouth to smooth wrinkles and fine lines. The injections are delivered in the doctor’s office, and the recovery is immediate. The results generally last for approximately three to six months. Dr. Olding will usually have his patients return for a follow-up visit a week or so after their first injection for a quick touch-up. The Dysport® treatments may cause temporary discomfort, bruising, numbness, and/or stiffness. Potential risks include facial asymmetry or sagging of the brow or eyelids.
