Neck Lift Washington, DC
A neck lift is a surgical procedure to improve visible signs of aging on the neck. It is not a direct excision neck lift (see Male Aesthetic Procedures). As individuals age, the skin and muscles of the neck begin to lose their tone. Often performed in combination with a facelift, a neck lift involves tightening the superficial muscles of the neck to define the jawline and neck. If the neck lift is done without a facelift, it is typically performed through a small incision under the chin, or in combination with a small scar around the ear.

Dr. Michael Olding is honest and upfront. He will tell you that he is going to make you look natural and not overdone. If you are looking for that kind of look, sure there are plenty of surgeons out there. His pedigree is beyond incredible and his accomplishments (over 20 years) are so numerous that it is impossible to list them all here. Rest assured that there is no one I would trust more. I am 57, feel like I am 37 and wanted to look that way again. My lower face lift and neck lift have totally changed my attitude.
The procedure is generally performed on an outpatient basis. Recovery takes about two weeks, with results lasting for 7-10 years.
Side effects of a neck lift may include short-term swelling, bruising, bleeding, nerve damage and asymmetry.
Patients interested in cosmetic facial surgery relating to aging, please bring with you any photos of yourself 5, 10, 15 or 20 years past, so Dr. Olding may see the changes in your face. Please also look at the list of all medications and supplements you may not take 2 weeks prior to your surgery.
