Procedure:
|
- Raise and reshape sagging breasts by removing excess skin and repositioning remaining tissue and nipples.
- 3 Different types of scars depending upon the amount of sagging.
A) Periareolar - Around the nipple.
B) Vertical - Periareolar plus up and down to fold scar.
C) Inverted "T" - An "anchor" incision that has a periareolar, vertical, and horizontal scar.

Side Effects:

- Temporary soreness, swelling, change in nipple sensation, & bruising.
- Breast sensitive to stimulation for a few weeks.

Risks:

- Thick, wide scars; skin loss; infection.
- Unevenly positioned nipples.
- Permanent loss of feeling in nipples or breast.
- Asymmetry.

Recovery:
|
- Back to work: 1 week (Usually).
- Strenuous Activites: 2 - 4 weeks.
- Fading of scars: Several months to a year.

Results:

- Variable.
- Gravity, pregnancy, aging, and weight changes may cause new sagging.
